RHSA-2019:0741
Vulnerability from csaf_redhat - Published: 2019-04-10 20:29 - Updated: 2026-03-18 01:46A flaw was found in Envoy version 1.9.0 and older, where Envoy does not reject embedded zero characters (NUL, ASCII 0x0) when processing HTTP/1.x header values. This flaw allows remote attackers crafting header values containing embedded NUL characters to potentially bypass header matching rules, gaining access to unauthorized resources.
A flaw was found in Envoy version 1.9.0 and older, where Envoy does not normalize HTTP URL paths. This flaw allows a remote attacker to craft a path with a relative path and to bypass access control. This issue results in a backend server with the ability to interpret the unnormalized path.

Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
