OESA-2026-4216 (CVE-2026-32877)
Vulnerability from osv_openeuler – Published: 2026-09-30 13:47 – Updated: 2026-09-30 13:47 – Source websiteBotan is a BSD-licensed crypto library written in C++. It provides a wide variety of basic cryptographic algorithms, X.509 certificates and CRLs, PKCS #10 certificate requests, a filter/pipe message processing system, and a wide variety of other features, all written in portable C++. The API reference, tutorial, and examples may help impart the flavor of the library. This is the current stable release branch 2.x of Botan.
Security Fix(es):
Botan is a C++ cryptography library. From version 2.3.0 to before version 3.11.0, during SM2 decryption, the code that checked the authentication code value (C3) failed to check that the encoded value was of the expected length prior to comparison. An invalid ciphertext can cause a heap over-read of up to 31 bytes, resulting in a crash or potentially other undefined behavior. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.0.(CVE-2026-32877)
Botan is a C++ cryptography library. Prior to 3.12.0, certain patterns of indefinite length encodings in BER data could cause quadratic behavior in the parser, resulting in a denial of service. Such BER encodings were accepted even in structures which are required to be encoded as DER, which prohibits indefinite length encodings. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.12.0.(CVE-2026-44378)
