FKIE_CVE-2026-2681

Vulnerability from fkie_nvd - Published: 2026-02-19 07:17 - Updated: 2026-06-17 10:31
Summary
A flaw was found in the blst cryptographic library. This out-of-bounds stack write vulnerability, specifically in the blst_sha256_bcopy assembly routine, occurs due to a missing zero-length guard. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a zero-length salt parameter to key generation functions, such as blst_keygen_v5(), if the application exposes this functionality. Successful exploitation leads to memory corruption and immediate process termination, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition.

Esta vulnerabilidad de escritura fuera de l\u00edmites en la pila, espec\u00edficamente en la rutina de ensamblador blst_sha256_bcopy, ocurre debido a que falta una guarda de longitud cero. Vulnerabilities whose description is nearest to this one in the vector space of the CIRCL/vulnerability-attack-technique-biencoder model. This is a similarity search over the bi-encoder space (plain cosine), not a classification, and it has no measured accuracy.
