    CVE-2026-71219 (GCVE-0-2026-71219)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-09-03 12:23 – Updated: 2026-09-04 18:41
    VLAI
    Title
Gfs2-utils: gfs2-utils: stack overflow via alloca(1<<di_depth) in hash table traversal
    Summary
A stack overflow vulnerability was found in gfs2-utils. The hash table traversal code in metawalk.c uses alloca() with an exponentially-derived size from the untrusted on-disk di_depth field without bounds validation. A crafted GFS2 filesystem image with a large di_depth value causes stack exhaustion and a denial of service when processed by fsck.gfs2, gfs2_edit, or savemeta.

    Title
Gimp: heap out-of-bounds read and stack out-of-bounds access in psd loader from channel-count handling
    Summary
A flaw was found in the file-psd plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted PSD image file, the plugin does not properly validate the channel-count parameter. This incorrect validation leads to improper memory bounds checking, resulting in both a heap out-of-bounds read and a stack out-of-bounds access. This issue can result in an application crash, leading to a denial of service or a limited information disclosure of memory contents.

    Title
Gimp: heap out-of-bounds read in pvr vq (compressed) decoder due to missing bounds check
    Summary
A flaw was found in the file-pvr plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted PVR image file, the VQ (compressed) decoder does not properly perform memory bounds checking. This missing validation results in a heap out-of-bounds read. This issue can result in an application crash, leading to a denial of service or a limited information disclosure of heap memory contents.

    CVE-2026-82328 (GCVE-0-2026-82328)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-28 14:21 – Updated: 2026-08-31 14:11
    VLAI
    Title
Gimp: heap out-of-bounds read in ico loader via unvalidated used_clrs palette count
    Summary
A flaw was found in the file-ico plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted ICO image file, the plugin does not properly validate the used_clrs (palette count) parameter. This incorrect validation leads to improper memory bounds checking, resulting in a heap out-of-bounds read. This issue can result in an application crash, leading to a denial of service or a limited information disclosure of heap memory contents.

    CVE-2026-82324 (GCVE-0-2026-82324)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-28 13:47 – Updated: 2026-08-31 18:39
    VLAI
    Title
Gimp: heap out-of-bounds reads in iff/ilbm loader from ham row size mismatch and nplanes=0
    Summary
A flaw was found in the file-iff (IFF/ILBM) plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted IFF/ILBM image file, the plugin does not properly validate the HAM row size and improperly handles cases where the number of color planes (nPlanes) is zero. This causes a row size mismatch that bypasses memory bounds checking, resulting in heap out-of-bounds reads. This issue can result in an application crash, leading to a denial of service or a limited information disclosure of heap memory contents.

    CVE-2026-80101 (GCVE-0-2026-80101)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-25 20:36 – Updated: 2026-09-02 17:20
    VLAI
    Title
Gimp: multiple heap out-of-bounds reads in xwd loader from unrelated width and bytes-per-line validation
    Summary
A flaw was found in the file-xwd plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted XWD image file, the plugin validates the image width and bytes-per-line parameters independently rather than ensuring their combined values are consistent with the allocated buffer size. This incorrect validation leads to improper bounds checking, causing a heap out-of-bounds read. This issue can result in an application crash, leading to a denial of service or a limited information disclosure of heap memory contents into the produced image.

    CVE-2026-78475 (GCVE-0-2026-78475)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-24 17:20 – Updated: 2026-08-25 13:46
    VLAI
    Title
Gimp: unbounded stack vla and 21-byte stack over-read in pix (esm) loader
    Summary
A flaw was found in the file-pix (ESM) plugin in GIMP. When processing a specially crafted PIX image file, the plugin allocates a Variable-Length Array (VLA) on the stack without proper bounds checking, causing an unbounded stack allocation followed by a 21-byte stack over-read. This can result in a denial of service due to stack exhaustion and a limited information disclosure of stack memory contents into an intermediate file.

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:39 – Updated: 2026-09-28 09:30
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: freeipa: unauthenticated dos in `/ipa/i18n_messages` via unbounded request body read
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit a vulnerability in the `/ipa/i18n_messages` endpoint by sending an arbitrarily large request body. This can cause the service to consume excessive memory, leading to memory exhaustion, degraded responsiveness, and a denial of service (DoS) condition.

For example, to limit the request body to 1MB, add `LimitRequestBody 1048576` to the relevant `\u003cLocation \"/ipa/i18n_messages\"\u003e` block or a broader `/ipa/*` location. A restart of the Apache HTTP Server (`httpd`) service is required for the changes to take effect, which may temporarily impact FreeIPA service availability. If a reverse proxy or load balancer is used, ensure it also enforces an equivalent body-size limit."

    CVE-2026-73197 (GCVE-0-2026-73197)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:31 – Updated: 2026-09-28 09:30
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: freeipa: unauthenticated dos in `/ipa/migration/migration.py` via unbounded request body read
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending oversized form POST requests to the `/ipa/migration/migration.py` endpoint. This can force the migration handler to read attacker-controlled request bodies fully into memory, leading to increased memory usage, slower request handling, and potential service disruption or denial of service.

    CVE-2026-73196 (GCVE-0-2026-73196)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:31 – Updated: 2026-08-20 15:19
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: freeipa: authenticated dos in `otptoken-add` via unbounded otp key decoding/re-encoding
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. A low-privilege authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability by submitting an oversized One-Time Password (OTP) key value. This oversized key is then decoded and re-encoded without proper size limits, consuming excessive CPU and memory resources. This can lead to a denial of service, degrading the availability of the IPA service.

    CVE-2026-13097 (GCVE-0-2026-13097)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:37 – Updated: 2026-09-28 09:29
    VLAI
    Title
Ipa: privilege escalation via krbcanonicalname manipulation due to realm-unaware uniqueness enforcement in freeipa ldap datastore
    Summary
A privilege escalation flaw was found in FreeIPA. The uniqueness constraint enforced on Kerberos principal name attributes in the 389-ds directory server does not properly account for equivalent representations of the same principal name, allowing a user with sufficient LDAP write privileges to create a service principal that impersonates an existing privileged one. This can lead to unauthorized acquisition of Kerberos service tickets for sensitive services, potentially resulting in full domain compromise.

    CVE-2026-11861 (GCVE-0-2026-11861)

    Vulnerability from nvd – Published: 2026-08-20 10:39 – Updated: 2026-09-28 09:36
    VLAI
    Title
Freeipa: idm: ipa: freeipa: obtaining tgs with impersonating cname through trust relationships
    Summary
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. When a trust relationship is configured between FreeIPA and Active Directory, Active Directory users can bypass authentication for FreeIPA services, including the portal, SMB server, and LDAP directory. This is possible by impersonating a client name in the Ticket Granting Service (TGS) due to FreeIPA services not verifying Privilege Attribute Certificate (PAC) certificates. This vulnerability could allow an authenticated Active Directory user to escalate their privileges within the FreeIPA domain.

    CVE-2026-71224 (GCVE-0-2026-71224)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-09-03 12:23 – Updated: 2026-09-03 12:58
    VLAI
    Title
Gfs2-utils: gfs2-utils: stack overflow via alloca(i_height) in metadata walk
    Summary
A stack overflow vulnerability was found in gfs2-utils. The metadata walk code in metawalk.c uses alloca() with an untrusted inode height value from on-disk metadata without bounds validation, causing stack exhaustion and a denial of service when processing crafted GFS2 filesystem images.

    Title
    Gfs2-utils: gfs2-utils: stack out-of-bounds write via unchecked di_height in gfs2_edit
    Summary
A stack out-of-bounds write vulnerability was found in gfs2-utils. In gfs2_edit, the di_height field from on-disk inode metadata is used as an array index without bounds checking, causing a stack buffer overflow that may lead to arbitrary code execution when processing crafted GFS2 filesystem images.

    CVE-2026-82343 (GCVE-0-2026-82343)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-28 16:26 – Updated: 2026-09-01 14:59
    VLAI

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-28 14:21 – Updated: 2026-08-31 14:11
    VLAI

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-28 13:47 – Updated: 2026-08-31 18:39
    VLAI

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-25 20:36 – Updated: 2026-09-02 17:20

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-24 17:20 – Updated: 2026-08-25 13:46
    VLAI

    CVE-2026-11861 (GCVE-0-2026-11861)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-20 10:39 – Updated: 2026-09-28 09:36
    VLAI

    CVE-2026-13097 (GCVE-0-2026-13097)

    Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-08-20 10:37 – Updated: 2026-09-28 09:29
    VLAI

The uniqueness constraint enforced on Kerberos principal name attributes in the 389-ds directory server does not properly account for equivalent representations of the same principal name, allowing a user with sufficient LDAP write privileges to create a service principal that impersonates an existing privileged one. This can lead to unauthorized acquisition of Kerberos service tickets for sensitive services, potentially resulting in full domain compromise."
