CVE-2025-22073 — spufs: fix a leak on spufs_new_file() failure

Affected: Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

spufs: fix a leak on spufs_new_file() failure

It's called from spufs_fill_dir(), and caller of that will do
spufs_rmdir() in case of failure. That does remove everything
we'd managed to create, but... the problem dentry is still
negative. IOW, it needs to be explicitly dropped.

USN-7585-1 — linux, linux-aws, linux-aws-5.4, linux-azure, linux-gcp, linux-gcp-5.4, linux-ibm, linux-ibm-5.4, linux-kvm, linux-orac…

Affected: Ubuntu:Pro:18.04:LTS: linux-aws-5.4, Ubuntu:Pro:18.04:LTS: linux-gcp-5.4, Ubuntu:Pro:18.04:LTS: linux-ibm-5.4, Ubuntu:Pro:18.04:LTS: linux-oracle-5.4, Ubuntu:Pro:20.04:LTS: linux, Ubuntu:Pro:20.04:LTS: linux-aws, Ubuntu:Pro:20.04:LTS: linux-azure, Ubuntu:Pro:20.04:LTS: linux-gcp, Ubuntu:Pro:20.04:LTS: linux-ibm, Ubuntu:Pro:20.04:LTS: linux-kvm and 2 more

It was discovered that the CIFS network file system implementation in the
Linux kernel did not properly verify the target namespace when handling
upcalls. An attacker could use this to expose sensitive information.
(CVE-2025-2312)

Several security issues were discovered in the Linux kernel.
An attacker could possibly use these to compromise the system.
This update corrects flaws in the following subsystems:
 - PowerPC architecture;
 - x86 architecture;
 - iSCSI Boot Firmware Table Attributes driver;
 - GPU drivers;
 - HID subsystem;
 - InfiniBand drivers;
 - Media drivers;
