CVE-2026-25990 — Pillow has an out-of-bounds write when loading PSD images

Affected: python-pillow Pillow, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 for RHEL 8, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.5 for RHEL 9, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2.6 for RHEL 9, Red Hat Satellite 6.16 for RHEL 8, Red Hat Satellite 6.16 for RHEL 9, Red Hat Satellite 6.17 for RHEL 9, Red Hat Satellite 6.18 for RHEL 9, Red Hat AI Inference Server 3.2, Red Hat AI Inference Server 3.3 and 17 more

Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 10.3.0 to before 12.1.1, an out-of-bounds write may be triggered when loading a specially crafted PSD image. This vulnerability is fixed in 12.1.1.

GHSA-5xmw-vc9v-4wf2 — Pillow has a heap buffer overflow with nested list coordinates

Affected: PyPI: pillow

Passing nested lists as coordinates to APIs that accept coordinates such as `ImagePath.Path`, `ImageDraw.ImageDraw.polygon` and `ImageDraw.ImageDraw.line` could cause a heap buffer overflow, as nested lists were recursively unpacked beyond the allocated buffer. Coordinate lists are now validated to contain exactly two numeric coordinates. This was introduced in Pillow 11.2.1.
