In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

hwmon: (asus-ec-sensors) check sensor index in read_string()

Prevent a potential invalid memory access when the requested sensor
is not found.

find_ec_sensor_index() may return a negative value (e.g. -ENOENT),
but its result was used without checking, which could lead to
undefined behavior when passed to get_sensor_info().

Add a proper check to return -EINVAL if sensor_index is negative.

Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.

OESA-2025-1823 — kernel security update

Affected: openEuler:24.03-LTS: kernel

The Linux Kernel, the operating system core itself.

Security Fix(es):

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

arm64: Don't call NULL in do_compat_alignment_fixup()

do_alignment_t32_to_handler() only fixes up alignment faults for
specific instructions; it returns NULL otherwise (e.g. LDREX). When
that's the case, signal to the caller that it needs to proceed with the
regular alignment fault handling (i.e. SIGBUS). Without this patch, the
kernel panics:

Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000000000000
  Mem abort info:
    ESR = 0x0000000086000006
