Affected: Ubuntu:Pro:14.04:LTS: xorg-server, Ubuntu:Pro:16.04:LTS: xorg-server, Ubuntu:Pro:16.04:LTS: xorg-server-hwe-16.04, Ubuntu:Pro:18.04:LTS: xorg-server, Ubuntu:Pro:18.04:LTS: xorg-server-hwe-18.04, Ubuntu:20.04:LTS: xorg-server, Ubuntu:22.04:LTS: xorg-server, Ubuntu:22.04:LTS: xwayland, Ubuntu:24.04:LTS: xorg-server, Ubuntu:24.04:LTS: xwayland

A out-of-bounds write flaw was found in the xorg-x11-server. This issue occurs due to an incorrect calculation of a buffer offset when copying data stored in the heap in the XIChangeDeviceProperty function in Xi/xiproperty.c and in RRChangeOutputProperty function in randr/rrproperty.c, allowing for possible escalation of privileges or denial of service.
