    <title>CVE-2022-48666 — scsi: core: Fix a use-after-free</title>
    <updated>2026-10-07T00:30:45.700987+00:00</updated>

      <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p><strong>Affected:</strong> Linux, linux_kernel</p>
<p>In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:</p>
<p>scsi: core: Fix a use-after-free</p>
<p>There are two .exit_cmd_priv implementations. Both implementations use
resources associated with the SCSI host. Make sure that these resources are
still available when .exit_cmd_priv is called by waiting inside
scsi_remove_host() until the tag set has been freed.</p>
<p>This commit fixes the following use-after-free:</p>

<p>Supraja Sridhara, Benedict Schlüter, Mark Kuhne, Andrin Bertschi, and
Shweta Shinde discovered that the Confidential Computing framework in
the Linux kernel for x86 platforms did not properly handle 32-bit
emulation on TDX and SEV. An attacker with access to the VMM could use
this to cause a denial of service (guest crash) or possibly execute
arbitrary code. (CVE-2024-25744)</p>
<p>Several security issues were discovered in the Linux kernel.
An attacker could possibly use these to compromise the system.
