<p>ata: libata-core: Fix null pointer dereference on error</p>
<p>If the ata_port_alloc() call in ata_host_alloc() fails,
ata_host_release() will get called.</p>
<p>However, the code in ata_host_release() tries to free ata_port struct
members unconditionally, which can lead to the following:</p>

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

bna: ensure the copied buf is NUL terminated

Currently, we allocate a nbytes-sized kernel buffer and copy nbytes from
userspace to that buffer. Later, we use sscanf on this buffer but we don&amp;apos;t
ensure that the string is terminated inside the buffer, this can lead to
OOB read when using sscanf. Fix this issue by using memdup_user_nul
instead of memdup_user.(CVE-2024-36934)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

nilfs2: fix potential kernel bug due to lack of writeback flag waiting
