In this flaw, a local attacker with user privilege may gain access to out-of-bounds memory, leading to a system integrity and confidentiality threat. fs/nfsd/trace.h in the Linux kernel before 5.13.4 might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read in strlen) by sending NFS traffic when the trace event framework is being used for nfsd. When alloc_pages_node() returns null in svc_rqst_alloc(), the null rq_scratch_page pointer will be dereferenced when calling put_page() in svc_rqst_free(). NFSD: READDIR buffer overflow. If a client sends a READDIR count argument that is too small (say, zero), then the buffer size calculation in the new init_dirlist helper functions results in an underflow, allowing the XDR stream functions to write beyond the actual buffer. This calculation has always been suspect. NFSD has never sanity- checked the READDIR count argument, but the old entry encoders managed the problem correctly. With the commits below, entry encoding changed, exposing the underflow to the pointer arithmetic in xdr_reserve_space(). Modern NFS clients attempt to retrieve as much data as possible for each READDIR request. nfsd: NULL dereference in nfs3svc_encode_getaclres. A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability…</p>

    <title>OESA-2024-1861 — kernel security update</title>
    <updated>2026-10-02T17:46:05.527526+00:00</updated>

      <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><p><strong>Affected:</strong> openEuler:22.03-LTS-SP3: kernel</p>
<p>The Linux Kernel, the operating system core itself.

Security Fix(es):

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ksmbd: fix slab out of bounds write in smb_inherit_dacl()

slab out-of-bounds write is caused by that offsets is bigger than pntsd
allocation size. This patch add the check to validate 3 offsets using
allocation size.(CVE-2023-52755)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

f2fs: compress: fix to cover {reserve,release}_compress_blocks() w/ cp_rwsem lock

It needs to cover {reserve,release}_compress_blocks() w/ cp_rwsem lock
to avoid racing with checkpoint, otherwise, filesystem metadata including
blkaddr in dnode, inode fields and .total_valid_block_count may be
corrupted after SPO case.(CVE-2024-34027)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

null_blk: fix null-ptr-dereference while configuring &amp;apos;power&amp;apos; and &amp;apos;submit_queues&amp;apos;

Writing &amp;apos;power&amp;apos; and &amp;apos;submit_queues&amp;apos; concurrently will trigger kernel
panic:

Test script:

modprobe null_blk nr_devices=0
mkdir -p /sys/kernel/config/nullb/nullb0
while true; do echo 1 &amp;gt; submit_queues; echo 4 &amp;gt; submit_queues; done &amp;amp;
while true; do echo 1 &amp;gt; power; echo 0 &amp;gt; power; done

Test result:

BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000148
Oops: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP
