<p>devm_kasprintf() returns a pointer to dynamically allocated memory
which can be NULL upon failure. Ensure the allocation was successful
by checking the pointer validity.</p></div>

In create_unique_id(), kmalloc(, GFP_KERNEL) can fail due to
out-of-memory, if it fails, return errno correctly rather than
