NOTE: it could be argued that because expat already provides the ability to disable external entity expansion, the responsibility for resolving this issue lies with application developers; according to this argument, this entry should be REJECTed, and each affected application would need its own CVE. shadow: TOCTOU (time-of-check time-of-use) race condition when copying and removing directory trees run-mailcap in the Debian mime-support package before 3.52-1+deb7u1 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in a filename. In Python (aka CPython) up to 3.10.8, the mailcap module does not add escape characters into commands discovered in the system mailcap file. This may allow attackers to inject shell commands into applications that call mailcap.findmatch with untrusted input (if they lack validation of user-provided filenames or arguments). <p>The Linux Kernel, the operating system core itself.

Security Fix(es):

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

ASoC: SOF: Fix DSP oops stack dump output contents

Fix @buf arg given to hex_dump_to_buffer() and stack address used
in dump error output.(CVE-2021-47381)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

scsi: iscsi: Fix iscsi_task use after free

Commit d39df158518c (&amp;quot;scsi: iscsi: Have abort handler get ref to conn&amp;quot;)
added iscsi_get_conn()/iscsi_put_conn() calls during abort handling but
then also changed the handling of the case where we detect an already
completed task where we now end up doing a goto to the common put/cleanup
code. This results in a iscsi_task use after free, because the common
cleanup code will do a put on the iscsi_task.

This reverts the goto and moves the iscsi_get_conn() to after we&amp;apos;ve checked
if the iscsi_task is valid.(CVE-2021-47427)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

spi: Fix deadlock when adding SPI controllers on SPI buses

Currently we have a global spi_add_lock which we take when adding new
devices so that we can check that we&amp;apos;re not trying to reuse a chip
select that&amp;apos;s already controlled. This means that if the SPI device is
itself a SPI controller and triggers the instantiation of further SPI
devices we trigger a deadlock as we try to register and instantiate
those devices while in the process of d…</p></div>
