NOTE: it could be argued that because expat already provides the ability to disable external entity expansion, the responsibility for resolving this issue lies with application developers; according to this argument, this entry should be REJECTed, and each affected application would need its own CVE. shadow: TOCTOU (time-of-check time-of-use) race condition when copying and removing directory trees run-mailcap in the Debian mime-support package before 3.52-1+deb7u1 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in a filename. This may allow attackers to inject shell commands into applications that call mailcap.findmatch with untrusted input (if they lack validation of user-provided filenames or arguments).
OESA-2024-2255 — kernel security update

Affected: openEuler:22.03-LTS-SP3: kernel

The Linux Kernel, the operating system core itself.

Security Fix(es):

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

drm/i915/gt: Cleanup partial engine discovery failures

If we abort driver initialisation in the middle of gt/engine discovery,
some engines will be fully setup and some not. Those incompletely setup
engines only have 'engine->release == NULL' and so will leak any of the
common objects allocated.

v2:
- Drop the destroy_pinned_context() helper for now. It's not really
 worth it with just a single callsite at the moment. (Janusz)(CVE-2022-48893)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

f2fs: fix to avoid dirent corruption

As Al reported in link[1]:

f2fs_rename()
...
	if (old_dir != new_dir && !whiteout)
 f2fs_set_link(old_inode, old_dir_entry,
 old_dir_page, new_dir);
	else
 f2fs_put_page(old_dir_page, 0);

You want correct inumber in the ".." link. And cross-directory
rename does move the source to new parent, even if you'd been asked
to leave a whiteout in the old place.

[1] https://lore.kernel.org/all/20231017055040.GN800259@ZenIV/

With below testcase, it may cause dirent corruption, due to it missed
to call f2fs_set_link() to update ".." link to new directory.
- mkdir -p dir/foo
- renameat2 -w dir/foo bar

[ASSERT] (__chk_dots_dentries:1421) --> Bad inode number[0x4] for '..', parent parent ino is [0…
