Title
BentoML 1.4.19 through 1.4.39 Server-Side Request Forgery via Unfiltered RFC 6598 Shared Address Space
Summary
BentoML's outbound connection safeguard (make_safe_connect in _internal/utils/uri.py) blocks private, loopback, and link-local IP addresses but fails to reject the RFC 6598 shared address space (100.64.0.0/10, CGNAT). In versions 1.4.19 through 1.4.39, an unauthenticated attacker can supply URLs pointing to that range via multipart file handling (MultipartSerde.ensure_file) or JSON request parsing (JSONSerde.parse_request), causing the server to make outbound requests to internal hosts on CGNAT networks (Server-Side Request Forgery). This is an incomplete fix for CVE-2025-54381.

Title
Mailgun for WordPress <= 2.2.0 - Unauthenticated Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via 'addresses' Array Keys
Summary
The Mailgun for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via path traversal in versions up to and including 2.2.0. This is due to insufficient input validation in the add_list() function, which accepts user-controlled array keys from $_POST['addresses'], passes them through sanitize_text_field(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to make authenticated POST requests to any Mailgun API endpoint using the WordPress site's API key, including creating inbound email-forwarding routes that can intercept password reset emails, leading to administrator account takeover.

Title
GitHub Enterprise Server notebook viewer vulnerable to Server-side request forgery
Summary
A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in the notebook viewer of GitHub Enterprise Server. The notebook viewer validated the scheme and host of a user-supplied URL but did not validate the port, allowing requests to be directed to internal services listening on other ports of the same appliance. Response bodies were not returned to the requester, but response timing acted as an oracle that allowed instance secrets to be extracted character by character. An extracted secret could then be used in a separate interaction with an internal service to obtain remote code execution on the appliance. Exploitation required network access to the instance and was unauthenticated when private mode was disabled, or required any authenticated user when private mode was enabled. This vulnerability affected GitHub Enterprise Server versions 3.17 through 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.22.1, 3.21.6, 3.20.8, 3.19.12, 3.18.15, and 3.17.21. This vulnerability was reported through the GitHub Bug Bounty program.

CVE-2026-77866 (GCVE-0-2026-77866)

Vulnerability from cvelistv5 – Published: 2026-09-15 15:38 – Updated: 2026-09-21 18:44

Title
SSRF protection bypass in safeurl via IPv6 addresses and unresolvable hosts
Summary
Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in Slab safeurl allows an attacker who controls a validated URL to reach internal network destinations the library is configured to block. Only IPv4 addresses are matched against the reserved ranges and the blocklist. Every other address is treated as matching nothing, so a destination that is rejected in its IPv4 form is accepted when written as an IPv6 address, IPv6 entries in the blocklist never match, and a host that resolves to no IPv4 address is accepted regardless of where it points. Deployments that rely on the allowlist instead are unaffected, because there an unmatched address is rejected. This issue affects safeurl: from 0.1.0 onward.

Title
Headroom Proxy Sends Upstream Requests to a Client-Supplied Base URL Without Address Validation
Summary
Headroom's LLM proxy lets a client choose the upstream destination with the x-headroom-base-url request header. _resolve_openai_upstream_base in headroom/proxy/handlers/openai.py accepts the header value, requires only that it parse with an http or https scheme and a hostname, and returns it for use as the upstream base; _select_passthrough_base_url in headroom/providers/proxy_routes.py reads the same header for the passthrough routes. No check rejects loopback, link-local, or RFC 1918 destinations, and because the component is a proxy the upstream response is returned to the caller, so the request reaches internal services and cloud metadata addresses and their responses are disclosed. The Authorization header accompanying the request is forwarded unchanged to the caller-designated host. The pip console script binds 127.0.0.1 by default, but the reference docker-compose.yml ships --host 0.0.0.0 with published ports and no required HEADROOM_PROXY_TOKEN, which the server itself warns about at startup, so a deployment following the shipped compose exposes the affected data-plane routes to the network without authentication.

The pip console script binds 127.0.0.1 by default, but the reference docker-compose.yml ships --host 0.0.0.0 with published ports and no required HEADROOM_PROXY_TOKEN, which the server itself warns about at startup, so a deployment following the shipped compose exposes the affected data-plane routes to the network without authentication."

CAPEC-664: Server Side Request Forgery

An adversary exploits improper input validation by submitting maliciously crafted input to a target application running on a server, with the goal of forcing the server to make a request either to itself, to web services running in the server’s internal network, or to external third parties. If successful, the adversary’s request will be made with the server’s privilege level, bypassing its authentication controls. This ultimately allows the adversary to access sensitive data, execute commands on the server’s network, and make external requests with the stolen identity of the server. Server Side Request Forgery attacks differ from Cross Site Request Forgery attacks in that they target the server itself, whereas CSRF attacks exploit an insecure user authentication mechanism to perform unauthorized actions on the user's behalf.
