Title
Frigate: WebSocket Missing Authorization — Viewer Can Execute Admin-Only Operations
Summary
Frigate is an open source network video recorder. Prior to 0.17.2, the WebSocket handler in frigate/comms/ws.py forwards attacker-selected message topics to the dispatcher without checking the authenticated user's role because the nginx authentication subrequest does not provide role-aware authorization to the handler. Any authenticated viewer can send admin-only topics such as restart, notifications/set, and camera detection, recording, snapshot, audio, motion, and enablement settings, causing service restarts or disabling security monitoring functions. Authentication must be enabled and valid viewer credentials are required. This issue is fixed in version 0.17.2.

Title
Next Terminal Missing Per-Asset Authorization on Portal Endpoints
Summary
Next Terminal fails to enforce per-asset authorization checks on the portal ping and wake-on-LAN endpoints, allowing any authenticated user to probe and wake assets they are not granted access to. Attackers can call these endpoints with arbitrary asset identifiers to retrieve asset information including display names, reachability status, connection timing, and network addresses, or trigger wake-on-LAN packets on unauthorized assets.

Title
Themify Builder <= 7.8.0 - Missing Authorization to Unauthenticated Arbitrary Builder Data Modification via 'tb_update_old_data' AJAX Action
Summary
The Themify Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 7.8.0. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the stored Themify Builder styling data (padding and margin properties) of arbitrary posts, including private and draft posts, by supplying an attacker-controlled post ID and JSON styling payload. The nonce required by the handler is automatically emitted to all frontend pages rendered by the builder via wp_localize_script, meaning any unauthenticated visitor can trivially retrieve a valid nonce from page source and satisfy the only access control in place.

Title
Custom Contact Forms <= 7.16 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Contributor+) Arbitrary Post Deletion and Post Meta Modification via Nested 'fields[].ID' / 'choices[].ID' Parameters
Summary
The Custom Contact Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 7.16. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to permanently force-delete arbitrary posts of any post type (including pages, administrator-authored posts, and WooCommerce products) and write arbitrary ccf_field_* post meta onto any post regardless of ownership or post type. The top-level form ID is checked via edit_post/publish_posts, but the nested fields[].ID and choices[].ID paths processed by _create_and_map_fields() and _create_and_map_choices() carry no equivalent capability or post-type guard, leaving those sinks fully exposed while delete_item() and delete_submission() contain explicit post-type restriction fixes demonstrating the developer's awareness of scoping requirements.

Title
Magazine Blocks <= 1.8.6 - Missing Authorization to Authenticated (Contributor+) Arbitrary Post Modification / Site-Wide Template Takeover via Builder Templates REST Endpoint
Summary
The Magazine Blocks – Blog Designer, Magazine & Newspaper Website Builder, Page Builder with Posts Blocks, Post Grid plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.6. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to demote administrator-owned published builder templates (header, footer, front page, single, archive, 404, and search) to draft status and replace them with attacker-authored block content rendered site-wide, enabling defacement, phishing, and SEO spam. This is possible because the mzb-builder-template post type is registered with capability_type='post' and exposed via the REST API, and the _mzb_template meta key is accessible to any user with edit_posts capability, meaning Contributor-level users and above can trigger the vulnerable save_post() hook.

Title
Keycloak-services: keycloak-services: incomplete fix for cve-2026-15573 allows policy enforcer bypass via percent-encoded uri segments
Summary
Keycloak provides a policy enforcer to protect applications by matching incoming web requests against defined security policies. A flaw was found where the enforcer fails to correctly normalize web addresses that contain special encoded characters, such as those representing semicolons or directory traversal segments. An authenticated user can use these encoded characters to trick the enforcer into applying a less restrictive security policy than intended, potentially gaining unauthorized access to sensitive administrative or private application endpoints.

Title
SiYuan before v3.7.4 Missing Authorization via block API
Summary
SiYuan before v3.7.4 is missing authorization checks in 17 block metadata/content endpoints in kernel/api/block.go (including getRefText, checkBlockExist, and getBlockBreadcrumb). These handlers are gated only by basic authentication (model.CheckAuth) and lack publish-access filtering, allowing anonymous publish-mode readers to disclose private block content-derived text, structural metadata, and existence information for arbitrary block IDs across the workspace.

Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • Divide the product into anonymous, normal, privileged, and administrative areas. Reduce the attack surface by carefully mapping roles with data and functionality. Use role-based access control (RBAC) [REF-229] to enforce the roles at the appropriate boundaries.
  • Note that this approach may not protect against horizontal authorization, i.e., it will not protect a user from attacking others with the same role.
Mitigation
Architecture and Design

Ensure that access control checks are performed related to the business logic. These checks may be different than the access control checks that are applied to more generic resources such as files, connections, processes, memory, and database records. For example, a database may restrict access for medical records to a specific database user, but each record might only be intended to be accessible to the patient and the patient's doctor [REF-7].

Mitigation MIT-4.4
Architecture and Design

Strategy: Libraries or Frameworks

  • Use a vetted library or framework that does not allow this weakness to occur or provides constructs that make this weakness easier to avoid.
  • For example, consider using authorization frameworks such as the JAAS Authorization Framework [REF-233] and the OWASP ESAPI Access Control feature [REF-45].
Mitigation
Architecture and Design
  • For web applications, make sure that the access control mechanism is enforced correctly at the server side on every page. Users should not be able to access any unauthorized functionality or information by simply requesting direct access to that page.
  • One way to do this is to ensure that all pages containing sensitive information are not cached, and that all such pages restrict access to requests that are accompanied by an active and authenticated session token associated with a user who has the required permissions to access that page.
Mitigation
System Configuration Installation

Use the access control capabilities of your operating system and server environment and define your access control lists accordingly. Use a "default deny" policy when defining these ACLs.

CAPEC-665: Exploitation of Thunderbolt Protection Flaws

An adversary leverages a firmware weakness within the Thunderbolt protocol, on a computing device to manipulate Thunderbolt controller firmware in order to exploit vulnerabilities in the implementation of authorization and verification schemes within Thunderbolt protection mechanisms. Upon gaining physical access to a target device, the adversary conducts high-level firmware manipulation of the victim Thunderbolt controller SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) flash, through the use of a SPI Programing device and an external Thunderbolt device, typically as the target device is booting up. If successful, this allows the adversary to modify memory, subvert authentication mechanisms, spoof identities and content, and extract data and memory from the target device. Currently 7 major vulnerabilities exist within Thunderbolt protocol with 9 attack vectors as noted in the Execution Flow.
