Details

An exploitable denial of service vulnerability exists in the atftpd daemon functionality of atftp 0.7.git20120829-3.1+b1. A specially crafted sequence of RRQ-Multicast requests trigger an assert() call resulting in denial-of-service. An attacker can send a sequence of malicious packets to trigger this vulnerability.

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2024-11-18 18:30 – Updated: 2025-08-01 18:31
VLAI
Details

A vulnerability in the implementation of the Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) feature of Cisco IOS XR Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) process to crash, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability is due to the incorrect handling of a specific RPKI to Router (RTR) Protocol packet header. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by compromising the RPKI validator server and sending a specifically crafted RTR packet to an affected device. Alternatively, the attacker could use man-in-the-middle techniques to impersonate the RPKI validator server and send a specifically crafted RTR response packet over the established RTR TCP connection to the affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a DoS condition because the BGP process could constantly restart and BGP routing could become unstable.Cisco has released software updates that address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.This advisory is part of the September 2021 release of the Cisco IOS XR Software Security Advisory Bundled Publication. For a complete list of the advisories and links to them, see .

Summary
`CHECK_EQ` fail via input in `SparseMatrixNNZ`
Details

Impact

An input sparse_matrix that is not a matrix with a shape with rank 0 will trigger a CHECK fail in tf.raw_ops.SparseMatrixNNZ.

import tensorflow as tf
tf.raw_ops.SparseMatrixNNZ(sparse_matrix=[])

Patches

We have patched the issue in GitHub commit f856d02e5322821aad155dad9b3acab1e9f5d693.

The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.11. We will also cherrypick this commit on TensorFlow 2.10.1, 2.9.3, and TensorFlow 2.8.4, as these are also affected and still in supported range.

Summary
TensorFlow vulnerable to `CHECK` fail in `AudioSummaryV2`
Details

Impact

When AudioSummaryV2 receives an input sample_rate with more than one element, it gives a CHECK fails that can be used to trigger a denial of service attack.

import tensorflow as tf
arg_0=''
arg_1=tf.random.uniform(shape=(1,1), dtype=tf.float32, maxval=None)
arg_2=tf.random.uniform(shape=(2,1), dtype=tf.float32, maxval=None)
arg_3=3
arg_4=''
tf.raw_ops.AudioSummaryV2(tag=arg_0, tensor=arg_1, sample_rate=arg_2,
                          max_outputs=arg_3, name=arg_4)

Patches

We have patched the issue in GitHub commit bf6b45244992e2ee543c258e519489659c99fb7f.

The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.10.0. We will also cherrypick this commit on TensorFlow 2.9.1, TensorFlow 2.8.1, and TensorFlow 2.7.2, as these are also affected and still in supported range.

VLAI
Summary
`CHECK`-failures in Tensorflow
Details

Impact

The implementation of MapStage is vulnerable a CHECK-fail if the key tensor is not a scalar:

import tensorflow as tf
import numpy as np

tf.raw_ops.MapStage(
    key = tf.constant(value=[4], shape= (1,2), dtype=tf.int64),
    indices = np.array([[6]]),
    values = np.array([-60]),
    dtypes = [tf.int64], capacity=0, memory_limit=0,
    container='', shared_name='', name=None
)

Patches

We have patched the issue in GitHub commit f57315566d7094f322b784947093406c2aea0d7d.

The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.8.0. We will also cherrypick this commit on TensorFlow 2.7.1, TensorFlow 2.6.3, and TensorFlow 2.5.3, as these are also affected and still in supported range.

For more information

Please consult our security guide for more information regarding the security model and how to contact us with issues and questions.

Details

Mozilla developers Andrew McCreight, Gabriele Svelto, Tom Ritter and the Mozilla Fuzzing Team reported memory safety bugs present in Firefox 99 and Firefox ESR 91.8. Some of these bugs showed evidence of memory corruption and we presume that with enough effort some of these could have been exploited to run arbitrary code. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 91.9, Firefox ESR < 91.9, and Firefox < 100.

GHSA-GG3P-8QG4-465F

Vulnerability from github – Published: 2026-06-01 21:30 – Updated: 2026-06-02 15:32
VLAI
Details

FlexRIC v2.0.0 contains a reachable assertion in e2ap_create_pdu() triggered when ASN.1 PER decoding fails. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send any non-PER byte sequence (e.g., a single 0x00 byte) over SCTP to the near-RT RIC (port 36421) or iApp (port 36422) to crash the process via SIGABRT. The assertion is reached before any protocol-level validation occurs. All three E2AP protocol versions (v1.01, v2.03, v3.01) are affected.

Mitigation
Implementation

Make sensitive open/close operation non reachable by directly user-controlled data (e.g. open/close resources)

Mitigation
Implementation

Strategy: Input Validation

Perform input validation on user data.
